I’ve been cooking a Pot Roast in the crock pot for about 3.5hr now. My mother always adds enough water to cover the meat, the recipe I’m using just calls for 1cup of water. But one Cup of water barely covered half the meat so i added about a half cup more & the meat still isn’t covered but a little more then half of the meat is covered..

I was just wondering if you could add too much water?
AND how do i know when the meat is done cooking?

I’m making a dish that calls for a cover and the only thing I have with a cover is my nonstick pot with a metal lid. Can I use that in the oven at 375 degrees for 1 hour?
I’m trying to rush and get dinner started and I didn’t even think of using foil over a casserole dish LOL
It has metal handles, thanks everyone!

I’m trying this Pepsi pot roast recipe. It calls for 1 12 oz Pepsi, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 packet of onion soup mix, and a 3 to 4 oz roast. The question I have is that the roast is not covered with liquid. Will this be okay? Normally I would cover it completely with water.

This recipe sounds terrible, but I tried it at a friends house and it was really good.

I have a major craving for peanut butter and popcorn. So, how do I do this? Just melt the peanut butter over the stove, or double boiler like chocolate? And how do I keep the popcorn from getting soggy? (Also, I saw a recipe calling for marshmallow, but Im vegetarian so this does not work.)

I’ve searched and searched and can’t find a decent yogurt-covered pretzel recipe. I’ve seen several mixtures that call for 2 cups of yogurt and 5 cups of sugar, but that just makes a sugary goop, not a hardened coating – which is what i’m looking for. If anyone has a decent recipe, please share it with me. I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

In a Dutch oven, cook sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until well browned. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. Season with sugar, basil, fennel seeds, Italian seasoning, pepper, and 2 tablespoons parsley. Simmer, covered, for about 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
