I want to sell a coverd call option on my stock. The current market price of the stock is $2.25 (UMC) the Strike Price is $2.50 and the contract is for apx .25c exp Jan. I have 2 questions 1 if I sell the call won’t I collect $25 per 100 shares & 2 Why would anyone buy a call with a stike price above the current market price? I notice the price of the contract as dropped as the price of the stock has gone up which makes even less sense. What am I not understanding.?
