On Monday morning I purchase one XYZ Dec06 10 call option. I pay a $5 premium. I then exercise the option. Right after, I sell the stock at $16/share. Making $100 minus fees. Would this take a day, week, month?? I can’t seem to find a time frame for buying and selling options. XYZ does not exisit, I made up the name and amounts to illustrate my point.

Currently I have 10,000 company stock options valued at $50.00. Today the price of the stock is $62.00. If I exercise the company stock option today, I will get 10,000 * $12 = $120,000.00
If the company do a 2 to 1 stock split what will happen to my current stock options?
I meant Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) NOTcompany stock option.
Thanks zman492

I want to completely understand the pricing models, but I want a book that lays it out very clearly and well- one that makes it very easy to understand. Can you please help??
I want to understand fully, not just because I am interested in trading them, but I’m interested in designing them too. I would like a good book that outlines the pricing variables clearly and eaisly to help me understand all that goes into figuring prices.
