Of course this is an opinion question, but still I’d appreciate knowing yours. Need to be diversified and am partial to biotech, so one of the companies should be a biotech (not a big pharma ).

So if I have a spread on a stock, I bought a put at a strike price and I wrote or sold a covered call, if the stock takes a dive, I could cash out or sell to close my put, but would I need to buy back my written call before I sold the stock?
